eight 4-ounce custard cups with nonstick cooking spray. Divide the mixture
evenly between the cups. Place the cups on a cookie sheet. Bake at 325
degrees for 30 to 35 minutes or until the coconut is lightly browned.

PINEAPPLE BREAD PUDDING

3 slices bread, cubed
1 stick butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
3 eggs
1 can crushed pineapple, drained

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In casserole dish combine bread cubes with melted butter. Mix the sugar,
eggs, and pineapple together. Combine the pineapple mixture with the bread
cubes in the casserole dish. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

PEACH PUDDING WITH CANNED PEACHES

1 stick butter
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup milk
1 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 large can sliced peaches

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Melt butter in a 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Mix sugar, flour, and baking
powder together. Stir in the milk with a wire whisk. Pour the flour
mixture over the butter in the pan. Do Not Stir! Place the peach slices
over all. Pour the peach juice over the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to
35 minutes.

How To Make And Can Your Own Homemade Pickles

During the summer gardening season, we always end up with an abundance of
cucumbers, so we like to make our own fresh pickles and can them for
future use.

Both of the following recipes use fresh cucumbers along with various other
ingredients.

Classic Pickles

25 cucumbers, sliced
4 large onions, sliced
2 large peppers, sliced
1/2 cup canning salt
5 cups white vinegar
2 tablespoons mustard seed
1 teaspoon Tumeric

In a large kettle or large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers, onions and
peppers with the canning salt. Cover and let mixture sit for 4 hours,
stirring once every hour. After 4 hours, drain the liquid from the bowl.

In a large kettle, combine the vinegar, mustard seed and Tumeric. Bring
mixture to a boil and boil for 4 minutes. Reduce heat and stir in the
cucumber, onions and peppers mixture. Simmer for 5 minutes on low. Ladle
cucumbers into hot sterilized canning jars, wipe the rim clean and seal.
Process in a water bath canner for 10 minutes.

Dill Pickles

8 cups tap water
4 cups white vinegar
2/3 cup canning salt
granulated sugar
garlic and dill to taste
10 cucumbers
alum lumps

Once A Month Cooking - Hamburger Pasta Casseroles Freezer Meals

When it comes to cooking and baking, I love experimenting with once a
month cooking. This type of cooking is when you spend a day or two making
and baking up several meals for your family and then freezing them for
future use.

This recipe will make 3 large casseroles that will each feed 8 people.
They will keep in the freezer for up to 6 months. You will need three 9 x
13" rectangular foil baking pans, that I like to pick up at our local
dollar store or discount department store. After freezing, thaw the
casserole in your refrigerator for 6-8 hours and then reheat in the oven
for 20 minutes before serving.

Hamburger Pasta Casserole

4 lbs. lean ground beef
1 lb. thin sausage links, sliced into bite-sized pieces
2 cups onions, finely chopped
2 cups celery, finely chopped
1 1/4 cup green pepper, finely chopped
16-18 ounces pasta noodles
3 cans tomato soup
4 1/4 cups shredded American Cheese
12 ounce bottle chili sauce
1/4 cup pimento, chopped
2 teaspoons table salt
2 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
2 cups water
4 1/2 cups bread crumbs
1/4 cup butter, melted (not margarine)

In a very large frying pan, cook the lean ground beef, sausage links,
onion, celery and green pepper until the ground beef is brown and no
longer pink. Drain off fat. Cook your desired pasta noodles according to
box directions, drain water and set aside. In a large stock pot, add your
cooked pasta noodles and meat mixture. Stir in the tomato soup, cheese,
chili sauce, chili powder, chopped pimento, salt, pepper and water.

Split the mixture up into 3 equal portions. Place mixture into each of
your baking pans. In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs with melted
butter. Sprinkle seasoned bread crumbs on top of the casserole mixture.

Classic Pickles

25 cucumbers, sliced
4 large onions, sliced
2 large peppers, sliced
1/2 cup canning salt
5 cups white vinegar
2 tablespoons mustard seed
1 teaspoon Tumeric

Dill Pickles

8 cups tap water
4 cups white vinegar
2/3 cup canning salt
granulated sugar
garlic and dill to taste
10 cucumbers
alum lumps

In a large kettle, combine the water, white vinegar and canning salt.
Bring this liquid to a rapid boil and boil for 10 minutes. Place cucumber
spears, dill and garlic into your clean and hot canning jars. Add 1
tablespoon of granulated sugar to each jar. Using a ladle, spoon the hot
liquid into your canning jars, leaving a 1/2" head space. Add 1 pea sized

on both sides and no longer pink. Remove from skillet and place on a
plate. Add cream of chicken soup and water to skillet. Reduce heat and add
the chicken pieces back to the skillet. Cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
Serve chicken over cooked rice or pasta.

Heinz-Style Chicken

4 slices of bacon
1 onion, finely chopped
1 large can tomatoes, chopped
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
4-6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/2 teaspoon table salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup Heinz 57 sauce

Cut bacon slices into quarters and saute in a large frying pan until
partially cooked. Stir in the finely chopped onion and continue frying
until onions are tender. Spoon out the bacon and onions and set aside in a
small bowl. Drain bacon drippings from the frying pan, reserving 2 1/2
tablespoons. Brown the chicken breasts in the reserved bacon drippings
along with the salt and pepper for 5 minutes. In a medium sized bowl,
combine the cooked bacon pieces, onions, tomatoes, Heinz 57 sauce and
granulated sugar. Pour this mixture into the frying pan to cover and coat
the chicken pieces. Cover and simmer over medium heat for 35-45 minutes or
until chicken is completely cooked and no longer pink. Serve over cooked

to give you my opinions.

I know, I know. And before you ask: yes, he is a moron. It's a flaw I've

listen (earning me more than a few strange looks, believe you me) that
believing addons are cheats simply because Blizzard didn't program them
into the default UI is pretty much the same thing as considering indoor
plumbing a cheat because God didn't program it into the Earth when he
originally created it. Addons are the community's way of grafting
functionality into the game that Blizzard should have included from the
start, and that's simply how it is. And yes, I am indirectly rebuking
deity for not providing mankind with toilets from the beginning. I mean,
how does it make sense that we had to go thousands of years without the
option of peeing indoors? That's just poor design. I fully expect to be
struck down at any moment as an example to smart-asses everywhere.

Disclaimer: I am in no way asserting that not using addons makes you a
moron. I'm certain there are a great many of you out there who prefer not
to use addons, and I'm sure you're by and large wonderful, fully
functioning human beings. All I'm saying is that my buddy isn't one of
those people. Also addons are awesome. That's all I'm saying.

system, thus completely rejuvenating the body/mind complex. A relaxed mind
allows us to relate better to people and things around us, giving us a
sense of well being. A tense body/mind is the cause of most diseases.

Regular practice of asanas, pranayama and yoga nidra can help such diverse
ailments as diabetes, blood pressure, digestive disorders, arthritis,
arteriosclerosis, chronic fatigue, asthma, varicose veins and heart
conditions. Laboratory tests have proved yogi's ability to consciously
control autonomic or involuntary functions, such as temperature, heartbeat
and blood pressure. Research into the effects of yogic practices on HIV is
currently underway with promising results.

According to medical scientists, yoga therapy is successful because of the
balance created in the nervous and endocrine systems which directly
influences all the other systems and organs of the body. Today there can
be no longer be any doubt of yoga's effectiveness as both a curative and
preventive medicine. The very essence of yoga is tied up the faculties of
mental peace, improved concentration or with power, relaxed state of

As my anniversary with my boyfriend approaches, I am always looking for
something unique to do. We both have agreed traditional gifts are not the
way to go. The good news is I have an idea that will both surprise him,
and make him happy. You see, I don't cook. He does. It isn't so much that
I don't cook; it really is I can't cook. I've tried. I just can't do it.
But if it is a recipe, I can follow it. So what I have decided to do this
year is to surprise him with his favorite restaurant food, made from
scratch.

There is a chain restaurant that we go to frequently. The menu has lots of
choices, but he always picks the same thing. It goes by a rather fancy
name, and I don't want to give away the restaurant, but it is basically a
pasta dish with chicken, bacon and mushrooms among other things. What he
doesn't know is that I found out most of the ingredients by going to the
restaurant's website and reading the description of the meal. He certainly
doesn't know that my best friend and I went there for lunch the other day
while he was at work, and I ordered it.

She and I picked it apart, and tried to figure out every single flavor.
Remarkably, we seemed to do a pretty good job. Since we were there when it
wasn't so busy, our server came over, and we were all talking. Pretty
soon, she was telling us what she knew, and I started writing furiously.
Then, she went out back, and asked the kitchen staff. They told her a few
more things, and she reported back. Pretty soon, just by paying attention
to what was already out there, I had the recipe. Well, at least the
ingredients I needed.

So while he has been at work during the day, I've been experimenting. I've
had to try it a few times, but I'm getting much closer. I know once I
think I have it I will have to go back to the restaurant and taste it
again just to make sure, but it will be worth it. Not only can I surprise
him with this dinner, but it is something that I can make on a continuous
basis. Somehow I don't think he will complain.

To get you started, here is the recipe for the Olive Garden Salad Mix:

1 bag American blend salad
4-5 slices of red onion
2-4 banana peppers
4-6 black olives
1/2 cup croutons
1 small tomato, quartered
